By Train
Greenwich Station from London: Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Cannon Street. Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. You'll only need a Travelcard for Zones 1—2.

By Tube
•Docklands Light Railway direct to Cutty Sark Gardens
•Jubilee Line to Canary Wharf, change onto the DLR

Cutty Sark Gardens is a 20 minute journey from Bank and Tower Gateway Stations and only 10 minutes from Canary Wharf, where you change from the Line to the DLR using the covered walkway to Heron Quays Station. Lewisham Stratford are major gateways for those coming from Kent and Essex.

By Bus
•To Greenwich town centre: 177, 180, 188, 286, 386
•To Greenwich Park (Blackheath): 53, X53.
•The 188 bus from Russell Square comes through the town centre on its way to North Greenwich Underground station.

Greenwich town centre is also served by the 177 (Thamesmead to Peckham), 180 (Belvedere to Lewisham), 199 (Canada Water to Catford), 286 (Greenwich to Sidcup via Eltham) and 386 (Greenwich to Woolwich). The 53 (Oxford Circus to Plumstead) passes the Blackheath Gate entrance to Greenwich Park, but does not come through the town itself.

By River Boat
Greenwich Pier from Tower of London, Charing Cross and Westminster. This is fun to do on a beautiful sunny day. Queen Elizabeth I was able to travel to Greenwich in under an hour from Whitehall apparently with a boat of strong rowers and a favourable tide. Today you can cruise from Westminster, Waterloo, Embankment and Tower Piers in approximately the same time and see some of London’s finest buildings from the river. We recommend this for a family day out.
